Erasmus+

The project called "Increasing the International Competitiveness of Azerbaijan Universities" in which the Azerbaijan Sports Academy (ASA) is a partner will be financed by the European Commission within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.

The project, whose coordinator is Baku Business University (BBU), was submitted to the European Commission in February 2024. This project aims to eliminate the difficulties related to ensuring the development of internationalization strategies and personnel potential in order to increase the international competitiveness of Azerbaijani universities, increasing the international reputation of universities and developing the skills of academic and administrative staff in the field of internationalization.

The project unites 10 local and international participants. Universities from Azerbaijan represented in the project:

• Baku Slavic University
• Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
• Azerbaijan Sport Academy
• Baku Academy of Music
• Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations
• Agency for Quality Assurance in Education

External partners of the project:

• Royal University of Technology – Sweden
• University of Jaen – Spain
• EFMD – Belgium
• International Hellenic University – Greece

The project will be launched in the fall of 2024 and will be implemented within two years.
