The department of "Sports management and communication" was established by the order of Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports Mr. Fuad Hajiyev dated 17.09.2018, No. K-364. The department is one of the main educational and scientific structural units of the Faculty of "Sports Medicine and Management", training, retraining, increasing the qualifications of teaching, methodical and scientific research, scientific-pedagogical and scientific workers in one or more related subjects, education among students. performs its work. The department is a graduation department on the specialty "Sports management and communication". Department of sports management and communication, like the departments operating in the Academy, most of the teachers working here are experienced specialists who have high basic education and scientific degrees, scientific titles, and are engaged in scientific-pedagogical activities.Teaching of subjects at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels of higher education is carried out by the professor-teacher staff of the department. Since its establishment, the department has been carrying out complex-system measures in the field of teaching, methodical, scientific research, scientific-pedagogical activity, as well as retraining and increasing the qualifications of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel with national competitiveness. In order to strengthen the teaching-methodical base, in accordance with the subjects taught and the directions of scientific research conducted, relevant working groups were created from the staff of the department for the preparation of subject programs, methodical materials, textbooks and teaching materials. In the content of the topics in this program, textbooks and textbooks of the department, special attention is definitely paid to the characteristics and development aspects of the tourism sector, the principles of acquiring the knowledge, skills and habits necessary for the field of sports sciences are taken as the basis for the specialists trained for this field during the teaching of each subject. The department employs 68 faculty members, 56 of whom have scientific degrees and academic titles. 5 people are doctors of sciences, 25 people are doctors of philosophy, 5 people are professors and 21 people are associate professors.
