Azərbaycan İdman Akademiyası UEFA tərəfindən dəstəklənən beynəlxalq layihəyə qoşulub

The Azerbaijan Sports Academy has joined an international project aimed at preventing injuries among female football players. The initiative, supported by UEFA and the UEFA Academy, covers countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

The project is led by Paulina Kloskovska, a faculty member at King’s College London in the United Kingdom and an instructor in the "Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation" master's program for medical professionals at ASA. The project coordinators from the Academy are Zarifa Kamilova, Advisor to the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Rauf Aliyev, Manager of the Sports Medicine Research Laboratory.

The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Polish Football Federation and aims to develop scientific approaches tailored to local needs for injury prevention in women’s football. In addition to Azerbaijan, the football federations of Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, and Slovenia are also participating in the initiative. The project’s advisory and recommendation board includes internationally renowned sports science experts — Kay Crossley, Joann Kemp, Andrea Bruder, and Brooke Patterson.

The selection of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy as a project partner is considered a recognition of the country’s sports education at the international level and its contribution to the development of women’s sports.

Preliminary results and research materials are expected to be presented to the public in the coming months.
