ASA celebrated Knowledge Day

On September 15, a ceremony dedicated to the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year and “Knowledge Day” was held at the Azerbaijan Sport Academy (ASA).

The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs. Afterwards, the Academy’s anthem, performed for the first time, was presented and received with great interest by the participants.

On “Knowledge Day,” ASA’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Ulkar Babayeva, and Vice-Rector for Quality Assurance and Lifelong Learning, Rafail Novruzov, congratulated the faculty and students on the start of the new academic year and wished them success. The vice-rectors also provided detailed information about the Academy’s activities, reforms carried out, and upcoming goals.

Etibar Dilqamoghlu, ASA alumnus and author of the Academy’s anthem lyrics, shared his memories of student life, emphasized the Academy’s significant role in his career, and wished the students success in their studies.

Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, Qambar Jafarov, spoke about the opportunities created within the faculty for students’ professional development in the new academic year.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Sports, Alekber Huseynov, highlighted the conditions provided for students to achieve success in both academic and sports activities, encouraging them to strive for excellence in both areas.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Health and Management, Sevda Guliyeva, advised students to be active in the educational process, engage in research activities, and continuously enhance their knowledge.
