International Congress held in Slovenia with the co-organization of ASA

On September 28, the 1st International “Human in Motion” Congress began its work in Portorož, Slovenia. The prestigious event is jointly organized by the Koper Scientific Research Centre and the Azerbaijan Sport Academy (ASA).

ASA is represented at the congress by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ulkar Babayeva, Head of the Department of Recreational Sports and Rehabilitation, PhD in Pedagogy Konul Mammadova, the Academy’s psychologist, PhD in Psychology Aynur Bunyatova, and psychologist of the Sports Medicine Research Laboratory Arzu Suleymanova.

At the opening of the congress, Professor Gianni Biolo from the University of Trieste spoke about the prevention of muscle atrophy, while Professor Marco Narici from the University of Padua addressed the role of physical activity in healthy aging.

The first day’s scientific program continued with the theme “Healthy Aging.” ASA representatives actively participated in the discussions and expressed their scientific viewpoints. At the end of the day, a cultural program was organized for the participants in Portorož.

It should be noted that the congress will continue until October 1.
